Ghostluvme's style is very confident and in your face. Singer, rapper, songwriter and producer, multi-talented Clayton Lisy AKA Ghostluvme has carved out a very unique place in music with his own twist to the whole thing. With James Brown as his inspiration, he spent his young age teaching himself how to play a piano, drums and every string instrument since the age of ten. Whilst falling in love with the sounds of music when he picked up a guitar, Philadelphia born and Broward County raised, Ghostluvme's diverse taste in music can be attributed to having lived on both the East Coast and West Coast throughout his youth, before settling in Florida. Here's his story and a browse through his discography.
His latest album Viva features his single, "Stockholm Syndrome" that beckons with love and intimacy over bright piano licks, calling into question the true validity of romantic relationships by putting them up to the test during a scenario where the world is coming to an end. His projects consists of traditional rap, hip-hop and pop structures, mastering the mix of sounds combined with lyrical structure and flow to deliver music that can only be classified as his own.
Surely experiencing the pain of losing family members is the most difficult thing, but music for the right sonic experience helps artists like Ghostluvme express himself to the fullest as his creative outlet helped him embrace it as a form of healing and reflection after the death of his mother and two sisters at a young age. Henceforth, his encouraging music helps listeners get through the hardest of times as they hope for a brighter tomorrow. He explores an upbeat testimony of love and relationships on his 24-track debut, applying thoughts and feelings that are easy to relate to in the complicated world of relationships and pain.
"I started writing this song just as the pandemic hit, with everything that was starting to unfold, it made me question many things, one of them being the time we spend on relationships that may or may not feed our souls. Some of the sounds on this project are not hip hop, which made it a very different yet exciting project to make. It is a beautiful time for this kind of multi-genre music to come out, as we are showing people there is no linear way of doing anything." - GHOSTLUVME
